  1. I risultati non mi stupiscono. Ma un sondaggio che mette in relazione i risultati al colore della pelle e non al grado di istruzione o alle disponibilità economiche mi lascia parecchio perplesso.

  2. Tutto il tempo libero che deriva dal *non* seguire precetti religiosi puo` essere impiegato per farsi una cultura. O per divertirsi.

    why? the question they are asking is how different denominations know what they claim to know not if educated people are more educated….or if rich people are more educated:

    we know that already.

    they self identified that way, they go to church that way, religious affiliation follows ethnicity with high correlation. ie black protestants are generally baptists or 7-day adventists, evangelicals are mainly whites etc. they have different traditions and they see religion in their lives to different levels. if you read the methodology you will see that race x denomination comnbination that could not be sampled sufficiently they are not reported because the statistics was no powerful enough to tell you anything meaningful (e.g. black jews, black catholics, or hispanic protestants do exists but they are rarer)

    no need to see any sinister motive…especially from Pew…a pretty liberal organization.

    PS: I got a 100% on the test! I think I can qualify as the Blog’s official theologist…

  4. il 45% dei cattolici americani crede che l’ostia e il vino siano solo simboli, e non realmente il corpo e il sangue di cristo?
    ma allora c’è speranza…
    scherzo, ovvio.
    queste sono sciocchezzuole, per chi cerca conforto e dolci illusioni.
    quisquilie, particolari senza importanza, simbolo, non simbolo….
    credo che atei e agnostici ne sappiano di più perché sono persone più curiose, in generale.
