that kind of position is so prevalent among the European left. It’s one of the reasons I cooled off my feelings for them over time. It worries me a lot, it’s a surrender of good sense to one’s anti-american sentiments: whatever the US does it must be evil and/or because of some wide economic conspiracy, even when the result is obviously consistent with one’s liberal principles.
